about.txt

PR

Paper Radio is a one-person studio working out of a shared print shop above a laundromat — riso by day, video edits by night, and a landline that still rings for the tenant three moves ago.

The work moves between record sleeves, capsule drops, zines, and short film, but the method stays the same: pick the cheapest honest material, run it until it breaks a little, keep the break.

Every job gets the same stubborn attention whether it pays the rent or just covers the paper.

nightbus_ep.folder

EP cover — 2024

Cover art for a six-track EP recorded on one cassette four-track. Two-colour riso run — fluorescent pink over black, registration left a half-millimetre off on purpose, the way the tape hiss stays in the mix.

220gsm stock, folded to slip inside a taxi-receipt insert instead of a lyric sheet.

static_cling.folder

Brand campaign — 2023

Launch campaign for a five-piece capsule from an independent streetwear label. Logo built from a single fold, reused as the hang-tag punch and the spray stencil for the pop-up's back wall.

Three weeks, no paid media — just the stencil and forty flyers stapled to poles between the label's usual haunts.

low_tide.jpg

Photo series — 2022

Thirty-six frames, one roll, one low tide. Shot on a half-broken 35mm body that only fires above ISO 400.

No retouching — the light leaks stayed in, numbered instead of cropped out.

xerox_diary.zine

Zine — 2024

A folded, stapled zine — sixteen pages, one Sharpie, one office copier run after hours.

Each issue photocopied a shade darker than the last until the toner ran out; issue four is barely legible on purpose.

undertow.mov

Video short — 2023

Four-minute short shot on a camcorder found at an estate sale, dubbed twice over to bury the timestamp burned into the corner.

Premiered on a borrowed projector at a community hall — no festival, no credits until the very last frame.

radio_static.tee

Merch drop — 2024

A tee and a tote, same silkscreen, run of sixty each. Ink mixed by hand in a bucket that still smells like it.

Sold at one folding table, cash only, gone by the second hour.

aftershow.poster

Poster series — 2022

Gig posters for a venue that closed the following year. Same two-colour screen, a new paper stock every show, taped over the last one until the wall was six posters thick.
